I really love these, they're beautiful! I put one on the nightstand and one over the headboard, and they add such a lovely vintage touch to the room. Overall, these are attractive doilies. I should have paid more attention to the size. I wanted to use them on top of two nightstands, but they were a little too small — the size of a placemat, as indicated in the description. You can see it in the picture on the right, where the 18-inch ruler is used to show the size. The first picture shows the backside. The material to which the lace is attached is polyester. Although it looks nice, it feels like polyester. It also has raw edges, so I'm not sure how well they will stand up to being washed. This is something to keep in mind if you intend to use it as a placemat.
