This set of two doilies is versatile and attractive. The oval shape allows for multiple placements whether a dining placemat or table centerpieces, lots of choices. The cotton yarn is loose and almost delicate. Hand wash only. I would starch heavily and press into shape for table top applications.I will not be using these doilies for table top but will be using them for embellishment of repurposed denim garments. The shape is unusual but perfect for decorating the back yoke of a jean jacket. I applique after cutting in half and using fray stop on all cut edges. Zig zag onto garment with clear poly thread. Sometimes it's easier to cut after sewing onto an edging like grossgrain ribbon or hem tape. Also wash away stabilizer is great for preparing crochet lace for applique. The off-white color is classic and coordinates well with other similar color crochet laces. Quality of manufacture is medium. Stitches are soft and loose and easily distorted.OLD WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP
These are so nice! So soft and they are actual crocheted soft cotton and you will receive a duo of doilies. I love the off white (ecru) color and the size of each is nice. I used these on our kitchen table and on our foyer library table - both times they looked so nice. I would definitely hand wash these and then drip dry. Absolutely love my new doilies, thank you!
